In an era where balancing academics, athletics, arts, and community service is a challenge for most, Carter Jackson, a senior at Liberty Christian School, exemplifies what it means to rise above expectations. With a 4.2 GPA and plans to attend Prairie View A&M University to study Business, Carter has already established a legacy of leadership, service, and excellence in his community.
Passionate about service and uplifting his community through a steadfast commitment to giving back, Carter is proof that young leaders can make a profound impact when they pair vision with action. He is supported by a powerful network—the community, the Denton-Lewisville (TX) Alumni Chapter Kappa League, and his family—all of whom stand firmly behind him as he continues his journey.
A Leader in Kappa League and Beyond
Carter serves as the President of the Denton-Lewisville Kappa League, where he has brought fresh energy, vision, and hands-on commitment to service. His leadership has been felt not just in planning and organizing events, but in personally showing up to make a difference.

One shining example of his leadership was his active role in the Greater Than Expectations (GTE) Freshman Fresh Program, in partnership with the University of North Texas’ PUSH program for foster youth. Carter went beyond the call of duty—decorating bedding, pillows, curtains, and accessories for a student’s newly renovated dorm room. He even assisted in accessorizing another student’s space, ensuring that both rooms felt warm, welcoming, and personal.
The Freshman Fresh Program is more than a makeover—it’s about transforming the college transition experience for foster youth. GTE provides full dorm renovations, spa days, quarterly outings, educational webinars, mentorship, and therapy access throughout a student’s college journey. Carter’s direct involvement in this program reflects his belief in not just leading, but serving with empathy and intention.
In May 2024, Carter and his peers presented a $2,800 check to GTE through his involvement with the North Texas Chapter of Jack and Jill of America. The following week, he participated in the GTE/UNT PUSH event, helping create spaces that inspire hope and comfort for students who have faced significant life challenges
Service That Spans the Community

Carter’s volunteer work extends into multiple organizations. Through his time in the Lantana Young Men’s Service League (YMSL)—where he served as Vice President in 2023 and President in 2024—he participated in the Miracle League, helping athletes of all abilities enjoy the game of baseball.
He also serves as President of the North Texas Jack and Jill Teen Group and holds leadership within the Regional Transition Teen Committee. In 2025, Carter served as a facilitator and delegate for the North Texas Chapter of Jack and Jill at the regional level. His work included engaging in Top Golf team strategy sessions where he shared insights on his EVOLVE strategy, speaking with Regional Director Reed-Larry outside the Texas State Capitol to express teen concerns, and greeting community leader Mr. West for words of wisdom.
During a roundtable with State Representative Bowers, Carter participated in meaningful discussions about leadership and youth priorities, ending with a photo opportunity to mark the occasion.
A Student-Athlete and Musician
While Carter is a dedicated community servant, he is equally committed to his personal growth and passions. He plays basketball at Liberty Christian School and enjoys playing the violin in his downtime, using music as a creative outlet and a way to relax from his busy schedule. This balance between athletic discipline, artistic expression, and community leadership showcases his versatility and well-rounded character.
The Road Ahead
As Carter looks toward Prairie View A&M University, his record of academic achievement, leadership, service, and community engagement suggests a future as bright as his present accomplishments. Whether he is on the basketball court, performing on the violin, leading peers in service projects, or personally decorating a dorm room to welcome a new college student, Carter embodies the ideal of a well-rounded, service-driven leader.
He is not just a community gem—he is a blueprint for how young people can lead with heart, purpose, and action. With the support of his family, his peers, the Denton-Lewisville Kappa League, and the broader community, there is no limit to the positive change Carter will continue to inspire.
