July 26, 2025 – Arlington, TX — In a landmark gathering on the campus of the University of Texas at Arlington, seven alumni chapters and four undergraduate chapters of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. convened for a powerful day of unity, collaboration, and purpose. The meeting took place at the UTA Greek Center and brought together an impressive lineup of leaders from across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.
Represented at the event were chapter Polemarchs, Vice Polemarchs, Keepers of Records, Keepers of Exchequer, Guide Right Directors, general members, and leaders from both the Southwestern Province and local cluster leadership. The initiative was organized by Province Officer Marcus Anderson of the Arlington-Grand Prairie (TX) Alumni Chapter, whose leadership helped spark a renewed spirit of collective achievement and forward movement.
The day began with a keynote address from Southwestern Province Polemarch C. Jerome Brown, who emphasized the power of unity and the importance of aligning our efforts across chapters in support of Kappa’s mission. His message called for intentional collaboration rooted in our shared motto: "Achievement in Every Field of Human Endeavor."
Throughout the session, brothers tackled hot-button topics with candor and mutual respect. These included:
Coordinated event planning across chapters to maximize impact and visibility.
Standardized Membership Training Academy (MTA) procedures to ensure compliance, consistency, and cross-chapter collaboration.
Strategic development and training of Guide Right programs, with an emphasis on youth engagement and mentorship excellence.
Enhancing communication through various means and modes—including digital platforms, scheduled briefings, and collaborative planning tools—to ensure alignment, reduce duplication of efforts, and support transparent information flow.
Leadership development initiatives aimed at strengthening chapter effectiveness and building a stronger regional identity.
Strengthening chapter identity recognition and fostering inter-chapter relationships beyond formal titles and emails.
One of the key objectives of the session was to deepen relationships beyond names and roles—helping leaders from different chapters place faces to names and begin building a foundation of trust and familiarity. “We often work in silos, but today reminded us that we are stronger when we act in concert,” said Randal Hawthorne, Polemarch of the Denton-Lewisville (TX) Alumni Chapter.
Following the information sessions, the group gathered for a commemorative photo to mark the occasion and concluded the day with a fellowship meal. This shared time allowed for informal networking and reflection on the momentum being built.
This meeting marks the beginning of an ongoing coalition of shared information, fraternal support, and operational unity among the North Texas and Dallas-Fort Worth chapters of Kappa Alpha Psi. Moving forward, this coalition will convene throughout the year for combined events, MTA workshops, collaborative Guide Right initiatives, and enhanced communication strategies that foster continuity, accessibility, and a shared strategic vision across chapters.
Together, these chapters are taking bold steps to enhance Kappa's influence, visibility, and legacy in North Texas, reaffirming a shared commitment to our bond and to the communities we are called to serve.
